Gossip is casual or idle talk, often about other people’s private lives, that may be rumor or speculation. It typically involves details that are not confirmed as being true. Gossip can spread quickly and may or may not have any basis in fact. It often involves discussions about the personal lives, behavior, relationships, or affairs of others.
