Another Chelsea injury concern played down as player ‘felt his Achilles’

The last thing Mauricio Pochettino and Chelsea need right now is another injury, especially to a centre back.
Having just lost Wesley Fofana for the long-term this season, there was another injury concern for defender Trevoh Chalobah last night.
Chelsea beat Wrexham 5-0 in their first pre-season friendly and Pochettino’s first game in charge, which was very refreshing.
However, Pochettino took questions on Chalobah after the game and confirmed that he felt his achilles and was subbed off for Marc Cucurella as a result.
As reported by Ben Jacobs, Pochettino said: “Chalobah felt his Achilles and we wanted to play with 11 rather than ten. That was it.”
So it was very concerning to hear that. However, it might not be bad at all and in fact, Alex Goldberg, who has known connections to some of the Chelsea players, has played it right now in his tweet as seen below.
Seems quite reassuring, thankfully, from someone who will certainly know. Tiredness in muscles can sometimes feel like an injury, so let’s hope for the best on this one!
