The Assemblyman for Abeposo Electoral Area in Asante Akyem Municipality, Emmanuel Opoku, allegedly stabbed a young man.
According to Adom News, the victim, Idrisu Ibrahim, recounted that the incident occurred after his brother was assaulted. Ibrahim mentioned that Niri, a friend and brother of the Assemblyman, was involved in the assault, prompting Ibrahim to inquire about the reason behind it.

Ibrahim claimed that he managed to retrieve the cutlass after it fell from Mintah’s grasp and defended himself. Despite his efforts, he had to flee for safety as more people joined the assault, resulting in him eventually being overwhelmed.
He expressed that his pleas for mercy were ignored as he endured severe beatings.
The situation escalated, and Ibrahim was reportedly assaulted by several residents before the Assemblyman allegedly stabbed him in the rib with a cutlass.
Ibrahim sought refuge in a nearby store and was subsequently rushed to the health center for medical attention.
