A 37-year-old taxi driver, identified as Amos Adusei, was shot dead by alleged armed robbers on the Kwaman-Boaman road in the Afigya Kwabre North district of the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred on Saturday night, leaving residents in a state of shock.

He noted that the body of the deceased had been deposited at the morgue, and the police have begun investigating the matter.

“It was yesterday [Sunday] around 11:15 when I received a call from a colleague that my brother had an accident on the Kwaman-Boaman road. When I arrived, it was not a mere accident; it was a gunshot. The armed robbers attacked him, and we took him to the hospital.

“The police came to our house and made their report. They visited us yesterday [Sunday], and they examined the body at the mortuary. They said they would conduct the postmortem today at around 10 a.m. After the postmortem, they will hand the body over to the family.”
