Unspeakable corruption and brazen theft hallmark of Akufo-Addo’s govt – Mahama

Written by on June 21, 2024

John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, has urged Ghanaians to demand a shift in governance amid the country’s worsening economic challenges.

In a social media post dated Friday, June 21, Mahama criticized the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration, citing allegations of corruption, nepotism, and mismanagement of national resources.

He highlighted that the current situation has caused a decline in national morale and widespread despair among citizens.

Mahama underscored the urgency for a change in leadership and direction, declaring his candidacy for the presidency with a promise to revive hope and prosperity across the nation.

“The current government of Ghana is marked by unspeakable corruption, nepotism, brazen theft, wasteful expenditure of national resources, impunity, and widespread criminality.

“As national morale hits an all-time low and hopelessness spreads throughout our nation, a shift in governance and direction is urgently needed. This conviction is why I have chosen to seek the presidency.”
