Talent manager George Mensah Britton has announced his departure from managing Afrobeat superstar Camidoh. The partnership between George Britton and Camidoh spanned three years, during which time Camidoh released global hit songs such as ‘SugarCane.
The song garnered Camidoh numerous awards. In an interview with GhanaWeekend, George Britton clarified the reasoning behind their parting:
“There’s no animosity between us… Our three-year contract has concluded, and since I’ve relocated to London and couldn’t dedicate sufficient time, I opted not to renew the contract.
He quickly added, “Nowadays, I handle PR for several artists and pursue other personal ventures. We’re still friends; I simply no longer manage him.”
In addition to Camidoh, George Britton has also managed the acclaimed Ghanaian music group Keche.
Known in real life as Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie, Camidoh has recently released another hit titled ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’. The track serves as a heartfelt preview to his upcoming project, reflecting the profound experiences and emotional journeys he has undergone during his break from the Ghanaian music industry.
The song, produced by Camidoh in collaboration with Nawtyboi Tattoo and Baba Wood, explores the intricacies of love, delivering a heartfelt message to listeners about the significance of applying reason and mindfulness in romantic relationships.
